Trade Unions - Legal Framework and Case Law Update

In 2016 the Great Britain (GB) Trade Union Act wasenacted and has been rolled out in GB during 2017and 2018. The Act does not apply in NorthernIreland (NI) and there now is a significant differencebetween the laws in the two jurisdictions especiallyin areas such as ballot thresholds for industrialaction. This seminar will focus on the existinglegal framework for trade unions in NI and wherekey GB differences exist and some significantcase decisions in recent years that trade unionrepresentatives should be aware of.
