Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC) is the UK’s leading anti-racism educational charity. It was established in January 1996, thanks in part to a donation by then Newcastle United goalkeeper Shaka Hislop.
Show Racism the Red Card is now active in the United Kingdom, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Ireland. The charity was formally launched in Ireland in 2006.
Each October, Show Racism the Red Card holds a national fundraising day for schools, organisations and individuals to show their support for anti-racism and raise valuable funds for the charity.
Equity asks ICTU’s Biennial Delegate Conference to encourage ICTU Trades Unions to join ourselves in supporting each annual Show Racism the Red Card “Wear Red Day”.
